How does LOTØShield work?

LOTØShield replaces paper-based lockout/tagout with a connected system: AT5 Intelligent Locks on your isolation points, a mobile app for the workers performing the lockout, and a web portal for planners, supervisors, and safety leaders. A job is built in the portal, executed step-by-step in the app, and monitored continuously by the locks themselves — every action recorded automatically as it happens.

Is LOTØShield OSHA-compliant? What standards does it support?

LOTØShield is designed to support compliance with OSHA’s control of hazardous energy standard (29 CFR 1910.147), including documented energy-control procedures, employee-specific protection, and verification of isolation. Because every step is enforced in sequence and recorded automatically, the audit documentation your program requires is produced as a byproduct of doing the work. How does the Intelligent Lock connect to the cloud?

What happens if a worker has no cell signal in the field?

Industrial facilities have dead zones, and the system is designed with that reality in mind. Lock communication travels over the facility gateway network rather than the worker’s phone signal. How long does the lock’s battery last?

Deployment scales with the size and complexity of the facility: the main variables are gateway coverage, the number of isolation points to be tagged, and workforce onboarding. Do workers need special training to use it?
